Our client is a market-leading provider of access equipment solutions and is currently seeking an experienced Workshop Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded professional to work with industry-leading equipment in a supportive and safety-focused environment.

The Role

As a Workshop Technician you will be responsible for servicing repairing maintaining and inspecting a range of mobile equipment including Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) Telehandlers and Lighting Towers. The role will primarily be workshop-based with occasional field service work as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose service repair and maintain access equipment and related machinery
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and compliance inspections
  • Troubleshoot mechanical hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Complete service reports inspection documents and maintenance records
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company policies
  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for additional service and maintenance work
  • Collaborate effectively with the broader service team
About You

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • A relevant trade qualification such as:
    • Diesel Mechanic
    • Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
    • Automotive Technician
    • Auto Electrician
    • EWP Technician or similar trade background
  • Previous experience in a maintenance workshop or field service environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Basic computer skills and experience completing digital service documentation
Desirable
  • Experience working with access equipment telehandlers construction or material handling equipment
  • Working at Heights qualification
  • Experience with workshop management or service software systems
