Vocational Support Worker Cleaner – Tamworoth – Part Time 60 hour per fortnight

About the Role:

As a Vocational Support Worker you will provide hands-on support and supervision to supported employees while they undertake professional commercial cleaning services for customers. You will help employees build and maintain vocational skills work towards realistic goals and develop greater independence in the workplace.

You will also support the daily operations of commercial cleaning and other Business Services activities ensuring work is completed safely efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties:

• Provide support and supervision to supported employees during daily cleaning operations.
• Assist with the delivery of other Business Services activities as required.
• Maintain productivity and ensure high-quality work.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a healthy clean and safe working environment.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is appropriately maintained.
• Provide written and verbal reports to the Supervisor.
• Support employees to achieve improve and maintain vocational skills.
• Encourage employees to develop independence within the workplace.
• Maintain confidentiality of employees personal medical and financial information.
• Attend meetings with employees supervisors and other staff as required.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Previous experience in the disability sector or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience and/or knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.

Desirable:

• Demonstrated experience working in disability mental health or a related field.
• Certificate III or IV in Disability.
• Previous commercial cleaning experience.
