About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Training Advisor to join our team. The Training Advisor plays a key role in supporting the delivery of vocational education and training (VET) programs and services to apprentices trainees employers and the broader community.

In this role you will

  • Conduct regular field visits to meet with apprentices trainees and employers
  • Facilitate courageous conversations and influence positive outcomes
  • Bridge gaps between services stakeholders and learners
  • Monitor and assess compliance with training contract requirements
  • Manage regional stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Resolve issues proactively with a problem-solving mindset
  • Deliver and promote relevant programs and services and maintain accurate administrative records and reporting
  • Meet KPIs and prioritise workload in a dynamic environment

About you

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to have courageous and constructive conversations
  • Resilient self-directed and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage diverse tasks
  • A high level of professionalism and the ability to influence positive behaviour and practices
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
  • Knowledge of the apprenticeship and VET system is advantageous but not essential
  • Committed to delivering high-quality support services and achieving positive outcomes
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
  • Current and Valid Drivers Licence and willingness to travel
  • This is an identified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander position.
