Downer Transport and Infrastructure is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Laboratory Technician to join our team based in Gosnells WA. Youll gain valuable hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III or IV in Laboratory Techniques as part of a 3-year traineeship while being paid to learn. This role may involve occasional travel to support nearby operational sites as part of your training and development.

Trainee Rate: $26.70 per hour

About the Role

Working alongside experienced professionals you will learn how to conduct laboratory testing and analysis on construction materials used in major infrastructure projects.

Assisting with laboratory testing and analysis of construction materials
Preparing and testing asphalt aggregates and other road-building materials
Recording and reporting test results accurately
Participating in toolbox talks safety initiatives and team activities
Gaining practical on-the-job experience in a laboratory environment
Supporting laboratory operations across a variety of sites and projects
Maintaining a safe and organised workplace

What Youll Bring

Current Drivers Licence
Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain)
A genuine interest in laboratory work and a commitment to completing a 3-year traineeship
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
