Support Worker Casual

genU is looking for Casual Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

We currently have several immediate casual opportunities available with anticipated hours of 20 per week and the potential to transition to permanent employment.

What youll do

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customers life goals and working to achieve them;

• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation housekeeping showering and toileting and medication administration;

• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and

• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What youll bring

• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;

• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;

• Previous experience with medication administration manual handling and supporting individuals with high and complex care needs;

• Significant experience providing personal care and domestic assistance while maintaining dignity choice and independence;

• Cert III in Disability Individual Support or higher (or working towards one)

• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
