The Role
Due to recent project wins we are currently seeking Experienced Structural Engineers to join our Construction Engineering team in Melbourne.Working closely with contractors design and delivery teams youll bepositioned atthe interface between design and construction to solve complex engineering challenges.
Successful candidates will provide structural design staged analysis services across major transport energy and industrial infrastructure projects with opportunities to support or incorporate construction engineering and construction phase activities where appropriate. Projects span major rail road tunnel energy and industrial developments providing opportunities to work alongside leading contractors on some of Australias most complex infrastructure projects.
Your duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Detailed structural design of innovative temporary works and associated impacts on permanent works
- Detailed structural design of innovative temporary works and associated impacts on permanent works
- Detailed structural design and documentation of infrastructure permanent works along with identification of and consideration of relevant temporary worksfrom tender phase through to construction phase
- Client liaison in conjunction with Project Directors and Associates regarding current and future projects
- Active involvement in all your projects including project resource management in conjunction with the Project Directors
- Proactively collaborating with team members contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables
About You
- Relevant Engineering qualifications with a focus in Structural Engineering
- 4 years Structural engineering industry experience
- Experience in the design and delivery of transport energy industrial or civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
- Experience in the delivery of temporary works design is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience in the delivery of detailed engineering drawings corresponding with level of duties
- Solid grounding in steel and concrete design
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated design experience using relevant Structural software
- Possesses project management and hands-on experience encompassing administrative commercial and technical aspects
- Submit technical reports of a standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports
- Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment
