An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced Nephrologist to join the expanding Renal Unit of a major tertiary referral service in tropical Queensland.

The opportunity
You will provide comprehensive specialist renal services across hospital outpatient community and outreach settings. Clinical responsibilities include:
- Inpatient nephrology consultations
- Outpatient renal clinics
- Dialysis and home-based therapies
- Telehealth and regional outreach services
- Participation in the after-hours on-call roster
- Clinical leadership governance and service planning
- Supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff and trainees
- Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
- Research innovation and quality-improvement activities

Applicants must hold:
- Medical qualifications eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Nephrology or an overseas specialist qualification eligible for assessment through the RACP
The position may involve outreach work and occasional travel to other facilities within the broader health service.
