Lets talk about you
- Designing developing testing and maintaining high-quality backend applications and services.
- Delivering secure scalable and well-architected solutions that align with engineering best practices.
- Building and enhancing platform features that meet both customer and business needs.
- Collaborating closely with engineers product managers and stakeholders to deliver frequent and reliable releases.
- Participating in code reviews and driving continuous improvement in code quality and development practices.
- Troubleshooting production issues and contributing to platform stability resilience and performance.
- Participating in the after-hours support roster as required.
- Automating manual processes and identifying opportunities to improve engineering efficiency.
- Sharing knowledge across the engineering team and supporting the growth of fellow developers.
- Proactively identifying managing and escalating technical risks and issues.
- Strong experience in backend software development ideally with PHP.
- Experience working with Symfony Laravel or another modern web framework.
- Experience designing and building REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases including MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience using Git and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills particularly within production environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while remaining an active and engaged team member.
- A growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches.
