About the Role
Were seeking an experienced Site Manager to take the reins of day-to-day construction delivery on our Western Australian projects. This is a genuine leadership role youll own the safety quality program and cost outcomes of your site while building and running a positive high-performing team culture.
Youll start based in our WA office getting to know the business and the way we work before moving out to your project site. The role is FIFO/DIDO so youll need to be comfortable and experienced working on a remote roster.
Reporting to the Project Manager youll be the driving force on-site coordinating labour materials plant and subcontractors keeping the program on track and making sure every stage of the work meets specification and quality standards.
Based in Western Australia FIFO/DIDO to site.
What Youll Be Doing
- Managing daily site operations to keep construction activities aligned with project plans and schedules
- Coordinating labour materials plant and equipment and overseeing subcontractors and trades
- Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation site safety plans and company policies including inductions toolbox talks and hazard management
- Conducting quality inspections at key construction stages and managing rectification of defects
- Preparing monitoring and updating construction programs and identifying and mitigating potential delays
- Monitoring site costs and labour productivity approving subcontractor claims and variations
- Supervising site staff leading hands and contractors and liaising with project managers engineers and consultants
- Managing RFIs variations and site instructions and maintaining accurate site records and daily diaries
- Ensuring environmental management plans are followed and minimising site impact on neighbouring communities
What Youll Bring
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card)
- Current C class drivers licence
- A trade qualification or a qualification in Building Construction or Engineering or extensive relevant site experience
- Proven experience managing both direct performed works and subcontractor-delivered works
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise site teams
- Confident use of construction management systems site reporting tools and scheduling software
- Section 26 Supervisor competency Working at Heights Confined Space or Certificate IV in WHS highly regarded
