Job Summary

At TOMRA Food were looking for an experienced Melbourne-based Service Manager to lead our Australian service operation and play a key role in the continued growth of our business.

From driving continuous improvement to developing teams and influencing business performance youll balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in the field. 

Reporting to the Country Manager youll lead TOMRAs end-to-end service operation across Australia with responsibility for Field Service Customer Care Technical Training and Project Installations.

Youll build capability drive performance and help shape the future of service delivery across the business.

Regular travel across Australia (up to 50%) will keep you close to customers projects and your team ensuring youre leading from the front and making an impact where it matters most. 


Qualifications :

This role is suited to an experienced service leader with the capability to lead people influence performance and drive outcomes across a complex national operation. 

Youll likely bring:

  • 6 years leadership experience and 10 years experience within service technical operations or customer-facing environments ideally within engineering industrial manufacturing automation capital equipment or other complex service-based industries.
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams across field service customer care technical support training or operations.
  • A proven track record of developing high-performing teams and delivering results in complex environments.
  • Experience across after-sales service field service operations customer support installations commissioning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen including responsibility for budgets KPIs costs and business performance.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams building engagement accountability and capability.
  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships and create positive customer experiences.
  • Learning agility curiosity and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • A balance of hands-on leadership strategic thinking and commercial judgement.
  • A degree in Engineering Engineering Technology or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Leadership qualifications are advantageous but proven leadership capability is what matters most.
