Job Summary
Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer in Canberra ACT to work on Defence ERP and Asset Management transformation projects.
What Youll Do
These roles offer a broad scope with key role responsibilities including:
- Support the uplift standardisation and governance of engineering and asset management processes within Defence ERP environments.
- Provide subject matter expertise across SAP S/4HANA EAM modules supporting business process design optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Defence stakeholders functional SMEs and technical teams to translate operational requirements into scalable SAP-enabled solutions.
- Support data migration ETL activities master data management and governance practices to improve asset maintenance and engineering data quality.
- Develop process documentation facilitate workshops support testing and change activities and provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making.
What Youll Bring
- Extensive experience working within SAP ERP environments ideally supporting Defence engineering maintenance or other asset-intensive organisations.
- Strong expertise in SAP EAM master data structures data governance frameworks and data migration or ETL processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance engineering and asset management business processes including alignment with industry best practice frameworks.
- Proven business analysis capability including requirements elicitation process mapping stakeholder engagement and solution design.
- Ability to work effectively in secure and regulated environments holding a Baseline Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Clearance.
Due to the nature of the work the successful applicant must hold and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance as required by the some cases compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) may also be required.
