Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government agency to find experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Engineers Innovation.

This is a hands-on role for engineers who enjoy working at the front edge of a large enterprise: researching emerging technologies building proof-of-concepts and rapid prototypes and then transforming successful ideas into secure scalable and enterprise-ready capabilities.

You will design develop test and support innovative digital solutions aligned with strategic priorities. Working across C# .NET Python Azure and AI technologies you will balance rapid experimentation with the architecture security governance and operational requirements of a major government environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop test and support innovative digital solutions prototypes and technology capabilities
• Research evaluate and adopt emerging technologies AI capabilities engineering practices and innovative delivery approaches
• Build proof-of-concepts and rapid prototypes to test technical hypotheses demonstrate business value and support investment decisions
• Translate successful prototypes and experimental solutions into secure scalable maintainable and enterprise-ready capabilities
• Develop C# web applications and APIs
• Use Python to develop AI and machine-learning solutions prototypes and web applications
• Design and automate Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code and Terraform
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture security scalability supportability and governance requirements
• Work collaboratively with architects engineers delivery teams and business stakeholders
• Develop reusable technical patterns components libraries frameworks standards and processes
• Balance rapid delivery and experimentation with enterprise reliability and risk-management considerations
• Contribute to capability uplift through mentoring knowledge sharing and technical documentation
• Capture technical learnings and embed them into reusable assets guidance and platform capabilities
• Contribute to a culture of innovation continuous learning experimentation and improvement

Key Experience and Skills

To be successful you will demonstrate experience across the following areas:

• C# web applications and APIs
• Python development for AI/ML rapid prototyping and web frameworks
• Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as Code and Terraform
• Establishing reusable engineering patterns that support enterprise capability
• Applying AI and machine-learning software practices to specific business problems or operational challenges
• Government or large-enterprise IT design and delivery
• Building secure scalable and maintainable software solutions
• Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary technical and business teams

Experience with comparable or analogous technologies will also be considered where you can clearly explain how your experience relates to the role.

Candidates should also demonstrate a genuine interest in AI innovation and emerging technologies. Relevant experience may have been gained through professional roles start-up environments personal or side projects self-directed learning open-source contributions published research hackathons or innovation challenges.

A demonstrated understanding of responsible AI and AI safety principles will be highly regarded.

Security Requirements

Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain a Baseline security clearance.

Work Arrangements

The roles can be performed nationally from approved locations in the ACT NSW VIC QLD SA and WA.

Alternative flexible working arrangements including additional remote work may be considered on a case-by-case basis subject to business requirements and the needs of the team.
