The Project

CPB is working on a large infrastructure project as part of building Queenslands future. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join our project delivery team on a project based in initially Brisbane until you transfer on to the project.

YourOpportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to provide hands-on safety leadership across the project partnering closely with construction teams engineers subcontractors and senior project leadership to maintain a strong safety culture and ensure the highest standards of health and safety are embedded across delivery. This is an opportunity to join a large-scale complex infrastructure project and play a key role in supporting safe and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proactive safety leadership and advice across site operations and construction activities.
• Conduct site inspections audits risk assessments and safety observations ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Develop review and implement SWMS safety plans and risk controls.
• Support incident investigations corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with project leadership engineers supervisors and subcontractors to drive a strong safety culture.

Minimum Requirements

• 5 years experience in a Safety Advisor role within major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Relevant WHS qualification and strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation.
• Experience across major infrastructure rail tunnelling or civil construction projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently with both site teams and senior leadership.
