Senior Program Reporting Analyst(Fixed Term) Sydney Australia

Reporting to the Senior Manager AML Compliance the Senior Program Reporting Analystis responsible forsupporting program reporting and analytics initiatives.

An opportunity to joinWesternUnions Compliance Team on a full-time basis for a24-month period.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordinateandparticipateinmultipleconcurrentregulatoryrelatedreporting projects simultaneously including research analysis documentation design/develop testing problem resolution training status reporting implementation and post-rollout review/audit.

  • Source evaluateand synthesisecomplexinformation from multiple structured and unstructured sources including data sets regulatory publications policies procedures operationaldocumentationand stakeholder interviews to generate actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Deliver data driven outcomes that inform uplift of the control environment and enable the business to grow safely

  • Prepare executive qualitydashboardsreporting presentations and comms thattranslatescomplexinformationinto clear and practicalmessages;presentsameto a broader business audienceas

  • Drive forward outcomes and deliverables under tight deadlines both at a strategic andtacticallevel

  • Train and mentor peersandlower-level analysts.;

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelors or mastersdegree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered

  • Proven Analytical Expertise 4 years experience in data analysis business intelligence or financial/operational reporting within a corporate banking fintech or consulting environment.

  • Advanced Data Skills Highproficiencyin data extraction and transformation plus strong skills in Excel (pivot tables advanced formulas macros) and at least one BI/visualizationtool (e.g. Power BI Tableau Qlik).

  • Reporting Mastery Experience designing automating andmaintainingdashboards and reports that areaccuratetimely and tailored to diverse audiences from operational teams to senior executives.

  • Insight-Driven Mindset Ability to go beyond the numbers toidentifytrends risks and opportunities and to translate findings into clear recommendations that influence business decisions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement Strong communication skills to collaborate with finance operations compliance and product teams ensuring reporting outputs meet business needs.

  • Problem-Solving Agility Comfort working with incomplete or complex datasets applying critical thinking to resolve data quality issues and deliver meaningful insights.

  • Regulatory & Compliance AwarenessUnderstandingrelevant reporting obligations (e.g. AUSTRAC APRA ASIC) is highly regarded particularly in a financial services context.

  • Continuous Improvement FocusA track recordof streamlining reporting processes introducing automation and improving data governance practices.

  • Technical Curiosity Willingness to explore new tools data sources and analytical techniques to enhance reporting capabilities.

  • Team Contribution Demonstrated ability to independently manage competing priorities define work plans engage stakeholdersidentifyissuesand drive outcomes with limited supervision

Work Shift
