Were now looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our team on a permanent this role youll play a critical part in ensuring our people are paid accurately on time every time! You will thrive in complexity value precision and be committed to delivering an exceptional employee experience.
What Youll Do:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager youll take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations while acting as a trusted expert across the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver accurate and timely payroll processing (weekly fortnightly monthly cycles)
- Resolve complex payroll queries and conduct root cause analysis
- Manage terminations redundancies bonuses commissions and adjustments
- Ensure compliance with PAYG superannuation payroll tax and employment legislation
- Maintain and improve payroll systems (SAP ECP SuccessFactors WFS)
- Lead payroll reconciliations reporting month-end and statutory obligations (ATO ABS Super)
- Partner with HR Finance and key stakeholders to deliver seamless outcomes
- Contribute to process improvements SOP development and team capability uplift
What Youll Bring:
- Proven payroll experience in a complex high-volume environment
- Strong expertise in SAP ECP or SAP ECC and large HRIS platforms (SuccessFactors preferred)
- Deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (PAYG Super FBT Workers Comp NES)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A proactive solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
