Senior Data Engineer
Build the Data Platform Behind a High-Growth Australian Tech Scaleup
Were partnering with a fast-growing Australian technology company that is using data automation and AI to transform a traditional industry.
As the business scales theyre looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of their modern data platform and help shape the next phase of growth.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building owning and scaling data infrastructure in a startup or scaleup environment.
What Youll Do
- Design build and optimise data pipelines and ELT workflows
- Own and evolve the Snowflake data platform
- Develop scalable data models and transformation layers using dbt
- Improve platform performance governance and reliability
- Partner closely with Product Data and Engineering teams
- Enable analytics automation and AI initiatives through high-quality data foundations

What Were Looking For
- 5 years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Deep experience with Snowflake and modern data platforms
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines
- Exposure to analytics engineering and data modelling
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work autonomously
- Previous startup or scaleup experience highly regarded
