Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government agency to find an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer.
Our client is a prominent Commonwealth agency whose technology platforms underpin Australias international presence and engagement. As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will contribute to both project delivery and operational support helping to design deploy and maintain critical infrastructure and multi-cloud environments that underpin Australias international engagement. This role plays an integral part of the current management and support provided to end-users for the departments multi-cloud offering.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain cloud solutions for infrastructure provisioning configuration and optimisation across Azure and AWS
Implement cloud best practices for security compliance and cost management
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with crossfunctional teams
Build and deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep ARM templates and Azure PowerShell
Work with DevOps Security and Development teams to enable and support CI/CD pipelines
Maintain accurate technical documentation including architectures processes and procedures
Stay current with emerging Azure and AWS services features and industry trends
Key Experience and Skills
Demonstrated experience in a Cloud Engineer Cloud Solution Engineer DevOps
Experience with Azure AWS or a multicloud environment
Strong handson experience with cloud services and architectures on at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS)
Proven experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep ARM templates Azure PowerShell or AWS CloudFormation
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps Git)
Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC/VNet subnets firewalls and load balancing
Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting capability
Highlevel communication and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment (including MS Teams)
Security Requirements
Applicants must hold an active Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance (or higher) to be considered.
