The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components is looking for a Sales Engagement and Events Support (known internally as a Sales Support professional) to join the National Sales Team based in Minchinbury NSW. BlueScope Building Components a division of BlueScope in Australia manufactures and markets steel building products solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght Fielders Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Sales Effectiveness Lead you will become a trusted partner to our National Sales Innovation and Design Solutions teams. You will support commercial activities across nationally recognised customers including Bunnings Reece TTHG/Mitre 10 IHG and Hardware & Building Traders as well as several other key accounts.

This is a highly varied role where you will combine sales support customer engagement reporting systems coordination and event support to help our teams deliver outstanding outcomes. You will also contribute to sales analytics performance reporting quoting process improvements and national business initiatives.

With exposure to senior stakeholders and high-profile customers this opportunity will allow you to strengthen your commercial analytical and relationship management capabilities while building your career within a growing national business.

What Will You Do

Working closely with our National Sales and functional teams you will contribute to safe efficient high-quality and cost-effective administration processes and systems. You will:

  • support key customer partnerships including Bunnings Reece TTHG/Mitre 10 IHG and other national accounts
  • coordinate product samples sales collateral and supporting materials
  • monitor incoming enquiries relating to our sales platform and customer portal ensuring they are actioned promptly and escalated when additional support is required
  • assist with team events engagement activities and internal projects
  • prepare professional presentations reports quotes and business communications
  • assist with sales analytics performance tracking and reporting for national accounts
  • monitor and coordinate updates across our e-commerce and customer relationship management platforms
  • create maintain and update knowledge resources templates and process documentation for our National Sales and support teams
  • identify opportunities to improve processes and create more effective ways of working

You are a proactive and highly organised professional who enjoys working collaboratively and supporting others to achieve great outcomes. You are comfortable managing competing priorities and can quickly adapt when business or customer needs change.

You will bring:

  • experience in sales support administration customer service events coordination or a similar role
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to build relationships across different teams and stakeholder groups
  • well-developed computer and systems capability including experience with the Microsoft Office suite
  • excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • a customer-focused approach and a genuine interest in delivering positive experiences
  • initiative sound problem-solving capability and a willingness to take ownership
