As our highly valued Residential Care Worker your ability to deliver excellent personal care services to our residents will contribute to making a positive impact in their lives.

Youll also make an impact by:

  • Supporting residents to live a life with dignity choice and independence
  • Working as part of a diverse group of professionals that includes nurses allied health lifestyles and hotel services
  • Delivering personal care that is connected personalised and considerate in line with Helping Hands service ethos
  • Maintaining the privacy rights of residents
  • Participating in learning activities to improve your understanding of resident needs

What youll bring

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care or studying towards a nursing qualification and have completed the placement stages
  • Good communication skills including the ability to speak and write clearly and accurately
  • A minimum of 6-12 months experience as a residential care worker (ideally in an aged care setting)
  • Ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook)
  • A valid NDIS worker screening check or be willing to obtain one

Youll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

  • Previous experience in the aged care sector
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions take initiative and work independently
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Available across AM PM & Night shifts
