IRT Aged Care Services provide 24-hour professional and personal care in a purpose-built community where
residents are cared for with kindness and supported to live connected lives. With dedicated care
neighbourhoods and specialist programs IRT personalises the care experience for every resident.

What youre responsible for
Responsible for the delivery supervision and management of person centred care for residents/clients
Monitor all residents/clients care needs are met in line with residents cultural religious or ethnic background
Coordinate and participate in case conferences and evaluate care plans as per policy
Complete resident/client assessments on admission as per scheduled routine and as care needs change
Attend to exceptional documentation detailing changes in care needs and complete corresponding assessments
Adhere to the new Aged Care Quality Systems Framework AN- ACC reporting and all other legislative and organisational requirements

Report changes in residents/clients condition which may lead to an increase of AN-ACC funding to Residential Manager / AN-ACC Coordinator
Complete resident incident forms and associated assessments as per IRTs policies and procedures
Response to emergency situations as they arise provide emergency treatment to residents/clients and refer to relevant external agencies
Manage infection control program including outbreak management
Attend all compulsory/mandatory IRT employee education/inservices meetings and external seminars education programs for professional development
Participate in Accreditation process including preparation and site visits
Other duties as required by the manager/supervisor consistent with the role.

Qualifications and education requirements
Current registration (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency

Work experience and skill requirements
Previous aged care industry experience
High level verbal and written communication skills with evidence of capacity to document professionally
Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standard Framework and the Aged Care Funding Instrument
Demonstrated organisational skills
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical issues of ageing including dementia related disorders and management of challenging behaviours
Empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors
High level of interpersonal skills
Sound computer literacy skills
Proven attention to detail and accuracy when record keeping
Demonstrated willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Ability to plan and prioritise own work to meet deadlines
A genuine interest in aged care and assisting residents to achieve their goals

Expected Salary: $111842 AUD per year
