Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF) Digital Transformation Program. This role will provide leadership coordination and delivery oversight for key initiatives aimed at improving policing capability operational effectiveness and community safety outcomes.
The position requires strong delivery focus combined with stakeholder engagement change management and adoption leadership to ensure successful implementation of complex initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate delivery of assigned project workstreams ensuring alignment with program objectives
- Drive adoption and integration of new systems tools and processes into operational policing environments
- Develop and manage detailed project plans schedules and critical paths
- Manage risks issues dependencies and governance requirements
- Coordinate communication across diverse stakeholder groups
- Support business readiness transition planning and operational embedding
- Lead change management training and user engagement initiatives
- Monitor delivery progress and ensure benefits realisation
- Provide high-level reporting and advice to senior stakeholders
- Analyse operational legislative and regulatory requirements impacting delivery
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience delivering projects or leading teams in complex environments
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end project delivery including planning governance and execution
- Strong experience in:
- Risk and issue management
- Stakeholder engagement and communication
- Managing cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to balance delivery outcomes with adoption and operational integration
- Experience supporting organisational or technology-enabled change initiatives
- Strong interpersonal negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic operational environments
Desirable Experience
- Experience in large complex or high-profile transformation programs
- Exposure to government policing or public safety environments
- Understanding of digital transformation or IT service management frameworks
- Familiarity with:
- System integration and data interfaces
- Project tools such as Microsoft 365 Teams Jira or similar
