Role Description: We are seeking experienced Control Systems Project Manager to lead and deliver industrial automation and control system initiatives within a major mining and resources environment. The successful candidates will manage the full project lifecycle ensuring safe efficient and successful delivery of control system upgrades enhancements and deployment projects.
The role requires strong project management capabilities combined with practical understanding of industrial control systems including Citect SCADA Siemens PLCs and Rockwell Automation PLCs. Previous experience within mining processing plants heavy industry or operational technology (OT) environments is highly desirable.
Location: Brisbane
Salary:AUD 123090 138408 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Control Systems projects from initiation through to commissioning and handover.
- Manage project scope schedules budgets risks and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering operations vendors and site personnel.
- Oversee control system upgrades migrations and integration activities.
- Ensure adherence to operational safety and cybersecurity standards.
- Facilitate project governance activities including status reporting issue management and executive updates.
- Manage contractor and vendor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support commissioning testing cutover planning and operational readiness activities.
- Engage with site stakeholders and travel to operational sites as required.
- Drive continuous improvement and lessons-learned initiatives across project delivery.
Technical Knowledge
- Working knowledge of Citect SCADA and Siemens PLC Platforms and Rockwell Automation PLC Platforms
- Understanding of industrial control systems architecture and operational technology environments.
- Familiarity with automation systems communications networks and plant control infrastructure.
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience delivering industrial or control systems projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects in mining energy manufacturing utilities or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing vendors contractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Proven track record delivering projects safely on time and within budget
- Engineering or related degree
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification
- Mining/resource sector experience.
