Job Summary

Project Director

Backed bymore than 40 years of success delivering major infrastructure projects Bielby isseeking an exceptional Project Director to lead its first majorinfrastructure project win in NSW.

The rolewill initially be based in Sydney during design before mobilising to aregional site. This is a career-defining opportunity to take ownership of a $400Mmajor regional infrastructure project that will restore and strengthen criticaltransport links across regional New South Wales. More importantly it is anopportunity to play a key role in Bielbys strategic expansion within NSW andestablish a lasting legacy with a contractor that empowers its leaders to makedecisions and drive outcomes.

This roleoffers full project lifecycle ownership from design stage strategic planningand stakeholder engagement through to successful delivery commercialperformance and client satisfaction.

WhatYoull Do

  • Provide executive leadership across all aspects of the project overseeing the design phase and through to mobilisation and completion.
  • Develop and execute the project delivery strategy ensuring safety commercial quality program and stakeholder objectives are achieved.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing project team creating a culture of accountability collaboration and excellence.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with government agencies local authorities clients consultants and key project stakeholders.
  • Drive project financial performance through rigorous forecasting risk management contract administration and commercial leadership.
  • Oversee procurement strategies subcontractor management and supply chain performance.
  • Manage the challenges associated with large-scale regional project delivery including workforce planning resource mobilisation and logistics.
  • Lead project governance reporting and performance reviews at both project and executive level.
  • Ensure Bielbys safety-first culture is embedded across all project activities.

What Youll Bring

  • 15 years of civil construction experience including significant leadership experience on major road transport or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven success delivering projects valued from $400M within complex stakeholder environments.
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated expertise in contracts risk forecasting claims and project controls.
  • Exceptional leadership capability with the ability to build mentor and retain high-performing teams.
  • Experience working closely with government clients infrastructure authorities and major stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational delivery commercial performance and long-term business objectives.
