Program Technical Coordinator (Food)
Job Summary
Are you an experienced Food Quality or Food Safety professional looking to move beyond the manufacturing environment
SGS is seeking a Program Technical Coordinator to support the delivery of our internationally recognised food certification programs with a primary focus on FSSC 22000 and BRCGS Food Safety. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong food manufacturing or quality assurance background who is passionate about food safety compliance and technical excellence.
Based in Melbourne or Sydney youll work closely with auditors clients and technical specialists to coordinate certification activities review technical documentation and support the delivery of accredited food certification services.
What youll be doing
- Coordinate the delivery of FSSC 22000 BRCGS and other food certification programs.
- Review client documentation and audit files to ensure they meet certification and SGS requirements.
- Support technical reviews of audit reports corrective actions and certification documentation.
- Liaise with auditors clients and internal teams to ensure audits and certification activities are completed on time.
- Maintain accurate certification records and audit documentation.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding certification requirements and food safety standards
Qualifications :
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Food Science Food Technology Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
- 5 years experience in food manufacturing within Quality Assurance Food Safety Technical Compliance or Food Technology roles.
- Experience working within a GFSI-certified environment with knowledge of standards such as FSSC 22000 BRCGS SQF or similar.
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles food safety management systems quality processes and audit requirements.
- HACCP training is essential with Lead Auditor qualifications or experience supporting certification supplier or third-party audits highly regarded.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation audit findings corrective actions or supporting audit activities is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive customer-focused and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
