The role

Join the team at the Chinese Garden of Friendship and help bring cultural community and visitor experiences to this varied role youll coordinate events programs venue activities and stakeholder engagement while supporting the day-to-day operations of one of Sydneys most unique cultural destinations. Youll play an important part in creating memorable visitor experiences and fostering cultural exchange learning and community connection.

Working across events bookings administration and stakeholder engagement youll balance competing priorities coordinate logistics and build strong relationships with community groups cultural organisations partners and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people delivering events and contributing to a vibrant and welcoming environment.

What you will bring to the role

  • Experience coordinating events programs venue activities or community initiatives with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients community groups cultural organisations partners and visitors.
  • Excellent organisational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage bookings logistics administration and event delivery in a busy environment.
  • A collaborative customer-focused approach with sound problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding visitor experiences.
  • An eagerness to learn contribute new ideas and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and communities.
  • The ability to speak Mandarin would be highly regarded.



What is an essential requirement:

  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends when required.
