About the role:

As a Specialist Operations Engineering you will act as a centre of technical expertise. Youll help define scopes of work prepare accurate cost estimates and provide engineering advice to operational issues that ensures solutions are practical cost-effective and aligned with standards.

This role sits within the Perth Region Field Services team and supports a range of teams and stakeholders playing a key role in planning and delivering projects that address asset needs and improve operational outcomes across the region.

What the role will involve:

Developing reviewing and auditing scopes of work for operational and capital projects

Preparing accurate cost estimates using data benchmarking and best practice methodologies

Providing technical engineering advice on operational and asset issues

Supporting planning prioritisation and delivery of regional programs of work

Monitoring delivery progress and advising on scope cost and risk considerations

Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to align on engineering solutions and outcomes

Key skills and experience:

Degree in Engineering Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related discipline

Proven experience developing scopes of work for infrastructure (civil mechanical or water/wastewater)

Strong skills in cost estimating benchmarking and cost analysis

Knowledge of asset management principles and construction practices

Sound understanding of procurement and contract frameworks

Strong stakeholder engagement communication and influencing skills

Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and organisational capability with a focus on safety and quality
