The Project
TheTram to Springvale Alliance (TSA) comprising CPB Contractors BMD Constructions and Arup has been selected to deliver the Eastern Freeway Upgrades between Tram and Springvale roads. The major upgrade includes new express lanes upgraded noise walls and revitalised sections of the Koonung Creek Linear Park.
The Project is being delivered under an Alliance Contract with Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA)as the Project Owner and TSA (CPB BMD and Arup) as the Non-owner Participants (NOPs). Together they form the Alliance working as one to deliver this critical infrastructure project.
As a key component of the North East Link Program (NELP) this project will provide a safer more efficient freeway connection for over 135000 vehicles daily removing 15000 trucks from local roads and reduce traffic across on the arterial road network crossing the Yarra River by 50000 vehicles per day.

Your opportunity
The Eastern Freeway Upgrade - Tram to Springvale Alliance (TSA) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Office Coordinator (Trainee) to join our Office Administration team.
This is an entry level opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in office administration. Youll gain hands on experience in a busy project environment while receiving structured training and support to develop your skills and knowledge.
Reporting to the Office Manager the Office Coordinator (Trainee) will provide efficient and effective administrative support across the project and assist with the day-to-day operation of our office.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain records and prepare reports as required.
- Assist with the coordination of project activities.
- Provide general administrative support including diary management creating spreadsheets calendars and folders formatting and binding documents and collecting and collating information.
- Maintain office facilities including ensuring shared workspaces and kitchen areas remain clean and organised.
- Order office supplies and monitor stock levels.
- Book meeting rooms and prepare meeting minutes as required.
- Coordinate travel arrangements including taxi bookings.
- Support project security procedures including visitor sign-in processes issuing visitor passes and controlling building access.
- Assist with the coordination of project events including monthly morning teas and staff functions.
- Support onboarding administration and IT access requests for new starters.
- Maintain TSA email distribution lists and assist with distributing project-wide communications.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous administrative experience preferred but not essential.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Traineeship opportunity
This role is offered as a traineeship the successful candidate will be supported to complete a nationally recognised qualification while gaining practical workplace experience through structured on the job training. Throughout the traineeship you will develop valuable administration organisation and communication skills while contributing to a major infrastructure project.
No prior administration experience is required. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn has a positive attitude and is committed to developing their skills in a professional office environment.
