Better. Together. is looking for a Mental Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team across the Murrumbidgee region.

About Better. Together.

Better. Together. is a free mental health service for people aged 18 and over across the Murrumbidgee region.

We believe better mental health care happens when services work together not separately. Our multidisciplinary teams work alongside general practices to provide care that is tailored to each person from clinical interventions and peer support through to care coordination service navigation social prescribing and group programs.

Our approach is person-centred recovery-oriented and focused on the whole person. We work with participants GPs and the wider service system to support mental physical social and emotional wellbeing.

About the role

As a Mental Health Clinician you will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each persons individual needs strengths and goals.

Working alongside participants to understand their experiences complete comprehensive assessments and develop practical care and recovery plans.

With support from the programs clinical leadership you will use your professional expertise to respond to changing needs manage clinical risk and connect people with the right level of support.

You will also have the opportunity to facilitate psychoeducation and therapeutic group programs including working alongside peer workers.

The role involves:

• Building trusting respectful relationships and working alongside people as the experts in their own lives

• Completing psychosocial mental health and risk assessments

• Developing implementing and reviewing recovery-focused care plans

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions within your scope of practice

• Facilitating psychoeducation and therapeutic group programs

• Coordinating care across primary specialist and community services

• Participating in multidisciplinary case conferences Team Care Reviews and clinical discussions

• Supporting stepped-care transitions and warm referrals to other services

• Participating in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development

You will also need:

• Relevant tertiary qualification and current registration or accreditation at the levelrequiredfor that discipline refer to position description for detailed list

• Demonstrated understanding of recovery-oriented trauma-informed and person-led practice.

• Right to work in Australia

• 100 points of ID

• ValidDriver Licenceand willingness to travel

• Satisfactory National Police Record Check

• International Police Check (if appliable)

• Current Working with Children Checkand NDIS Worker Screening Check

• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate QualitySafety and You
