The Opportunity

AsaMechanical Engineer in our Building Services teamyouwill have the opportunity tosupport a wide variety of challenging projects.This role is focused onDefence building and infrastructureprojects acrossNSW VICSA and WA. You will work with ourbuildings and infrastructureteamson a significant number ofbuildings projectsto supportCommercialDefenceinfrastructure transport and water infrastructure.Thisrolewill see you involved inHVAC design and project leading. Having experience in either of these areas will beessentialin this role.

You will be involved inplanning scheduling and conducting work requiring judgment in the evaluation selection and adaptation of engineering techniques procedures and criteria.You will performwork which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirementsnon-conventional HVAC designandcomplexcoordination requirements.

You will provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.Your skills and experience will be valued and have directimpact on cost containment efficiency profitability or operations.

As part of our teamyou will work with a diversegroupof talented people who are committed to supporting our clients through long-term partnership arrangements; not to mention a key contributor to delivering projects.

Our team is also exploring new ways to integrate virtual reality and artificial intelligence on projects offering you the opportunity to future proof and broaden your skills in the digital sphere.

Who are you

As aMechanicalEngineer inourbuildingsteam you will have experience indetailed designsfront end engineering design (FEED) consulting or complex engineeringprojects fromthedefence commercial education water industrial transportor infrastructure sectors.

You will work with OEMs on productselectionand installationbut have theability tocustomiseand innovatedelivering unique solutions in challenging environments.Exposure tocondition assessments data sheets safety processes national standards and regulation will also be vital.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Design experience with knowledge oflocalindustry standardsand local codes.

  • Proven ability to work inengineering teams and manage projects to scope budget and program.

  • Advanced skills with RevitandCAMELarepreferred.

  • You are working towards being a Chartered Engineer (CPEng)

  • Hold an accreditedBachelor ofmechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.

  • Australian Citizens will only be considered due to Defence project involvement.
