Were seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manager Financial Accounting to lead our financial accounting function and play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity compliance and sustainability of our organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Finance youll lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting statutory compliance month and year-end processes taxation obligations and financial governance. Youll also act as a trusted technical accounting advisor partnering with leaders across the business to support sound decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

What youll be doing
As Manager Financial Accounting you will:
- Lead AFCAs month-end and year-end close processes ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee statutory compliance obligations including BAS and regulatory reporting.
- Manage the general ledger balance sheet reconciliations fixed assets provisions and cashflow reporting.
- Prepare insightful management executive and Board reporting including variance analysis and commentary.
- Partner with leaders across the organisation to provide accurate financial information and support strategic decision-making.
- Lead and develop the Finance Operations team fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Support budgeting forecasting and long-term financial planning activities.
- Act as a key technical accounting subject matter expert ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with external auditors and key stakeholders to deliver successful audit outcomes.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and future-state process improvements.
Qualifications :
About you
Youll be an experienced financial accounting leader who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
Youll bring:
- CA or CPA qualifications and relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in senior financial accounting roles ideally gained within a Big 4 environment or a complex corporate organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards financial reporting taxation and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading financial close processes statutory reporting and audit management.
- Proven leadership capability with experience building coaching and developing teams.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with outstanding attention to detail.
- Experience using large ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 SAP or Oracle.
- The ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights for a broad range of stakeholders.
