In this role youll:


Lead the design and delivery of strategic community and stakeholder engagement initiatives across NSW


Provide high level advice to senior leaders on community sentiment emerging issues and reputational risk


Develop clear evidence based engagement narratives that connect organisational priorities with local communities


Use data insights and analytics to strengthen engagement quality and inform decision making


Manage issues and crisis communication in partnership with corporate communications teams


Build and lead high performing inclusive teams and support capability uplift across disciplines


Work closely with project teams contractors and consultants to deliver high quality engagement outcomes


Ensure governance compliance and reporting frameworks support transparent and effective engagement

About you


Tertiary qualifications in Communications Media Public Relations Marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)


Demonstrated experience in strategic stakeholder and community engagement ideally within complex public sector or infrastructure environments


Strong leadership capability with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams


Proven ability to develop and implement engagement and communication strategies including issues and risk management


Well developed influencing negotiation and relationship building skills


Sound political acumen and understanding of government processes and community expectations


Experience using insights and analytics to drive continuous improvement


IAP2 Certificate in Engagement or willingness to obtain


Current Australian driver licence and willingness to travel and work outside standard hours when required

There are 2 temporary opportunities available:

  • Passenger & Services 3 - TFT until 07/04/2027 (with possibility of extension)
  • CSE Sydney North-West 2 - TFT until 30/6/2027
