Our client is an established Australian manufacturing and engineering business specialising in the supply fabrication and machining of engineering plastics composites and specialised industrial materials.

As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for operating panel saw machinery to accurately cut a range of engineering plastics composite materials and sheet products to customer specifications.
This is a hands-on role where accuracy efficiency and attention to detail are essential. You will work from job specifications and drawings ensuring materials are cut correctly and prepared for the next stage of production.
The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in their work understands the importance of quality and enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment.
Operate panel saw machinery safely and efficiently
Accurately cut sheet materials to specified dimensions
Read and interpret job sheets drawings and measurements
Set up machinery and select appropriate cutting parameters
Measure and inspect finished cuts to ensure accuracy
Load and unload materials safely
Identify material requirements and minimise wastage
Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting
Maintain a clean organised and safe work area
Follow all company WHS and quality procedures
Complete production documentation and job records
Assist with general workshop and production duties when required
Work closely with other production and machining team members to meet deadlines
Were looking for a reliable and hands-on Machine Operator who has previous experience operating a panel saw in a manufacturing or production environment.
You will ideally have:
Previous panel saw operating experience essential
Manufacturing production or workshop experience
Strong ability to read measurements and work accurately
Ability to read basic technical drawings or job specifications
Good understanding of workplace health and safety
Strong attention to detail
Good numerical and measurement skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A reliable and positive attitude
Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines
Experience working with plastics composites timber sheet materials or similar products will be highly regarded
