Lead Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager the Business Intelligence Lead is a senior strategic role responsible for shaping how Lovisa uses data to drive better business decisions.

Youll lead complex BI initiatives from concept through to delivery setting the direction for data products dashboards reporting and analytics as our global business continues to grow. Youll work closely with C-level and senior leaders to translate business priorities into clear data strategies actionable insights and practical solutions.

Partnering with teams across Retail Merchandising Finance and IT youll understand business challenges identify opportunities and use data to solve complex problems and uncover trends that support strategic decision-making.

A key focus will be supporting the transformation from SSRS to Power BI while strengthening data governance quality and consistency across our data environment.

Youll also play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the BI function driving operational excellence continuous improvement and the adoption of new technologies and ways of working to strengthen Lovisas data capability.

About You

Youre a strategic thinker who combines strong technical BI expertise with commercial curiosity and the confidence to influence at a senior level. Youre passionate about data and enjoy turning complex information into clear insights that help people make better decisions.

Youll bring:

• Senior BI & analytics experience 5 years experience in Business Intelligence Analytics or a similar senior role with a proven track record delivering strategic BI initiatives and data transformation programs.

• Strong Power BI & data expertise hands-on experience with Power BI Paginated Reports SQL data modelling and ETL/ELT with the ability to build effective reporting and data solutions.

• Modern data environment experience experience with SSRS and migrating legacy reporting to modern BI platforms with knowledge of SQL Server SSIS and Azure environments such as Databricks and Synapse.

• Executive stakeholder management confident presenting to C-level and senior leadership translating complex data into clear commercially relevant recommendations.

• Commercial & analytical mindset naturally curious about the why behind the numbers with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify trends opportunities and practical solutions.

• Leadership & collaboration able to set direction influence stakeholders and build strong relationships across teams while driving alignment around data-led solutions.

• Curiosity & initiative proactive adaptable and comfortable challenging the status quo with a genuine interest in emerging technologies and improving how the business uses data.
