Job Summary

SGS are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join the team in Tennant Creek NT. This is a FIFO position. The roster is 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off days and nights.

Responsibilities include include however not limited to:

  • Responsible for unloading loading sorting and weighing of samples onto drying racks while maintaining numerical order.
  • Reconcile samples delivered with the supplied sample submission form listing extras and those not received onto the sample sorting sheet (iso sheet).
  • Responsible for crushing filter pressing splitting samples and transferring sub-samples to for digestion while maintaining numerical order and following established quality control procedures and avoiding contamination.

Qualifications :

The successful applicant will have:

  1. Certificate IV in Laboratory techniques (desirable)
  2. Previous Laboratory experience (desirable)
  3. Experience with AAS and PAL desirable but not essential.
