About the Team

We deliver prime systems integration projects which build develop and support military solutions for Defence. The team focuses on leveraging our local engineering our services expertise and global products to bring new capabilities to the Australian Defence Force.
The Opportunity
Join the Joint Command Support Environment (JCSE) team supporting Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) a mission-critical Defence capability responsible for coordinating Australian Defence Force operations. Working within a highly collaborative team of Defence industry and ex-military professionals youll play a key role in modernising the Joint Operations Portal and ensuring critical information systems remain secure available and ready to support operational decision-making.
No two days look the same but you can expect to:
- Support the governance assurance and compliance activities that enable critical Defence systems to operate within established security and accreditation frameworks.
- Develop maintain and improve key security documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs) Security Risk Management Plans (SRMPs) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Knowledge Base Articles and governance artefacts required for Defence accreditation and assurance activities.
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of Defence security requirements access management processes governance obligations and change activities across operational environments.
- Work closely with project sustainment and Defence stakeholders to ensure security controls documentation and compliance obligations remain aligned throughout the modernisation and ongoing operation of critical HQJOC capabilities.
About You
You are an Information Security Governance professional with experience working within Defence or similarly regulated environments. You understand the importance of governance assurance and documentation in supporting operational capability and can confidently navigate Defence security processes and expectations from day one.
Essential:
- Experience working within Defence security governance accreditation or compliance environments.
- Knowledge of Defence security frameworks including the Information Security Manual (ISM) Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and associated assurance requirements.
- Experience developing maintaining and governing security documentation including SSPs SRMPs SOPs Knowledge Base Articles and compliance records.
- Experience supporting Defence accreditation governance and assurance activities across operational or mission-critical systems.
- Understanding of Defence change management processes documentation governance requirements and operational support frameworks.
- Experience supporting access management processes and the implementation of security requirements within Defence or government environments.
- Ability to work effectively with project teams sustainment teams and Defence stakeholders to deliver compliant and well-governed outcomes.
Advantageous:
- Experience supporting Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) or other Defence operational environments.
- Experience contributing to capability uplift modernisation or transition activities within Defence systems.
- Familiarity with governance and assurance activities supporting complex ICT environments.
- Exposure to security compliance reporting audit support activities and ongoing assurance programs.
This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold a NV1 security clearance.
