Job Summary

Our customer is a market leader in thedesignand manufacture ofpremium fuel chemical food and waste trucks for customers across Australia. WIth an amazing period of growth they areexpanding theirproduction team and seeking an experienced HydraulicsTechnicianto join the team.

About the Role

Youll be responsible for installing assembling and testing hydraulic systems across our tanker builds. This role suits someone with handson hydraulic experience strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with hoses tubing and hydraulic components.

Key Responsibilities
  • mount and install hydraulic pumps motors oil reservoirs control values and actuators onto truck chassis and trailers
  • Route measure and crimp heavy-duty hydraulic hosessteel tubes and fittings to eliminate any fluid leaks or pressure drops
  • Fit and align Power Take-Off (PTO) units to commercialvehicle transmissions to power the tankers liquid pumping systems.
  • Read analyse and implement designs strictlyfrom complex fluid power layouts and engineering schematics.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings
  • Conduct pressure testing and flow ratediagnostics to verify system performance troubleshooting any circuit faults
    prior to vehicle handover.
  • Ensure all high-pressure lines and systemdesigns meet safety standards for flammable liquids and hazardous goods
    transport

What Youll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Hydraulic Fitter Technician Fluid Power Specialist or Mechanical Fitter heavy vehicle manufacturing or transport maintenance
  • Strong proficiency in diagnosing testing and building high-pressure hydrauliccircuits.
  • Deep knowledge of hose sizing thread identification (BSPP JIC NPT) andtube bending.
  • Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings and fluid power schematicsquickly
  • Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter Maitenance or equivalent trade qualification
  • Recognised post-trde certifications in Fluid Power/Hydraulics Systems
  • High Risk Work Licensefor Forklifts or Overhead Cranes (highly preferred)
  • Experience with hazardous goods machinery or transport vehicle regulations is an advantage.
