Job Summary
Commis Chef Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes across all service periods including functions and events
- Set up and run a designated section during service
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared and service ready
- Maintain consistent food quality presentation and portion control
- Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and rotation
- Work closely with senior chefs to deliver a smooth high-quality service
Qualifications :
Commis Chef Skills & Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or currently undertaking)
- Previous experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen environment
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently within a section during service
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and public holidays
