Synergie is seeking multiple Freight Handlers / Dockhands for ongoing opportunities with our client a busy freight and logistics operation located at Melbourne Airport VIC.

What you will be required to do:

As a Freight Handler / Dockhand you will play an important role in the day-to-day movement unloading and sorting of freight.

This is a hands-on physically active role working within a fast-paced freight and logistics environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Unloading freight and cartons from containers.
• Moving cartons and freight onto conveyor belts.
• Manual handling and lifting of items up to 25kg.
• Assisting with general dockhand and warehouse duties.
• Following all site safety and manual handling procedures.

To be successful in the role you will:

• Be physically fit and comfortable performing repetitive manual handling duties.
• Be capable of safely lifting and moving items weighing up to 25kg.
• Have a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Previous experience as a Dockhand Freight Handler Freight Sorter Container Unloader or Warehouse Labourer will be highly regarded.
