Due to an increase in production Synergie is seeking an experienced Machine Operator with Forklift experience to join a leading provider of high-quality steel reinforcement products and services located in Salisbury.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Safe operation of production machinery full training provided
• Operating forklifts to move and position steel products
• Moving and handling long lengths of steel and heavy steel products
• Loading unloading and positioning materials safely
• Manual handling where required with lifting aids available
• Working safely around steel products and machinery
• Communicating effectively with team members
• General housekeeping and maintaining a safe work area
• Following all safety policies and procedures

Who we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator preferably within the steel manufacturing or similar industry
• Valid Forklift Licence and practical forklift experience
• Experience moving long lengths of steel or other long/heavy materials
• Comfortable working with steel and in a manufacturing/production environment
• Overhead crane experience is highly regarded
• Physically fit and confident with manual handling
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail
• Reliable punctual and able to follow instructions
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
