Fleet Support Officer
Job Summary
Northline is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fleet Support Officer to join our Fleet team in Melbourne.
As a Fleet Support Officer at Northline you will support the administration and customer service processes of our Fleet department delivering on Northlines promise of Customer Delight.
This is a permanent-salaried position Monday to Friday commencing from 8.30am.

Key Responsibilities:
- Home Delivery Processes: Manage and communicate with customers about their freight status ensuring timely delivery or collection updates.
- Fleet Efficiency: Collaborate with the Fleet team to optimize efficiency including arranging book-in freight and managing Incomplete deliveries through S2.
- Operational Support: Prevent missed or late pick-ups and take immediate corrective actions when necessary.
- Customer Communication: Ensure daily compliant customer texting follow up with non-responders and handle special delivery requests.
- Driver and Fleet Management: Maintain the Driver Masterfile manage faulty or damaged PDAs and oversee depot freight operations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and manage delivery paperwork as well as compliance reporting.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain professional relationships with the Northline teams and PUD contractors.
- Communication: Action internal and external phone calls and emails promptly and coordinate driver paperwork presentation.
Key Competencies & Technical Requirements:
- Health Safety & Environment: Commitment to HSE practices and a strong understanding of Load Restraint Guidelines Dangerous Goods and Fatigue Management.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent planning abilities with a high attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Analytical Skills: Sound analytical and planning skills with effective time management and multitasking abilities.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using computerized systems Microsoft Office suite and a demonstrated background in the Transport and Logistics industry preferred but not essential.
