In this full-time permanent role youll support families and the community to increase their financial literacy and learn money management skills. Reporting to the Team Leader youll provide support in both group settings and on an individual basis in the centre or via outreach in the community.
This position is ideally based in Doomadgee but consider FIFO within QLD.
You will make a difference by:
- Delivering financial literacy information education and support
- Facilitating group workshops on money management skills
- Building and maintaining strong networks service delivery partnerships and effective referral pathways
- Supporting individuals to access utility or telco hardship programs and No Interest Scheme Loans
- Collecting and recording data and information for accountability evaluation and reporting requirements

This role requires:
- Demonstrated ability to deliver financial literacy information in culturally appropriate ways
- Certificate III in Financial Literacy Community Services or similar qualification or willingness to undertake
- Ability to negotiate and advocate on behalf of families
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience coordinating events and activities in the community
