Help modernise the reusable platforms frameworks and automation that enable our Data Delivery teams to build data products and pipelines faster safer and more consistently across the enterprise.

This is a genuinely hands-on engineering opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems across the full data and software stack. You will turn roadmap priorities into secure production-grade capabilities modernising existing solutions rather than simply re-hosting legacy complexity.

Core Focus ...

Design build test deploy and support data pipelines APIs services integrations and platform utilities.

Build and extend reusable frameworks and developer tooling including ADAPT and Unified Framework (UFW) capabilities.

Modernise Teradata enterprise batch integration and other legacy workloads through safe incremental migration and robust reconciliation.

Automate build testing deployment migration observability and operational support through CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.

Diagnose complex cross-stack issues spanning code data infrastructure orchestration security and runtime operations.

Use AMP GitHub Copilot and approved AI tooling responsibly to accelerate coding testing documentation migration and operational diagnosis.

Own components through production support and convert successful delivery into documented tested and reusable engineering patterns.

Partner across engineering architecture platform and delivery teams while coaching others and raising engineering standards.

What do I need

Strong recent hands-on engineering experience in complex production environments is essential. We are looking for depth across data and software engineering not experience limited to proofs of concept narrow platform development or advisory work.

Advanced SQL and strong programming capability in Python or another enterprise language.

Proven engineering experience across more than one data platform or technology stack.

Hands-on delivery and operation of batch or streaming pipelines APIs services and system integrations.

Strong understanding of data modelling distributed processing orchestration metadata lineage and data-quality controls.

Practical cloud engineering experience including CI/CD automated testing containers and infrastructure-as-code.

Ability to analyse unfamiliar legacy code and workloads map dependencies and modernise them safely.

Strong production engineering capability across debugging performance tuning observability reliability and incident resolution.

Sound understanding of security identity secrets management privacy resilience and technology risk controls.

Clear communication and the ability to explain technical trade-offs and collaborate with diverse technical and delivery stakeholders.

Strong cross-stack engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn unfamiliar environments quickly are critical and our tech stack relating to this role covers -
