About the role

Provide active support to people with Disability in Rockhampton across Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Lifestyle settings. The people you will support are looking for passionate support workers who are proactive in providing active support to them in their day-to-day living.

As a Part timeemployee joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own home providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster including weekends and sleep overs.

Shifts are also available in our Lifestyles program where you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community with travel between clients and working short split shifts required.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

• A passion for working with people with disability
• Ability to work with challenging behaviours
• An unrestricted Australian drivers licence
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check Blue Card (WWCC) and obtain a NDIS Clearance.
