We are seeking a reliable compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Worker with immediate availability to provide person-centred support to NDIS participants.
The successful applicant must hold a valid Australian drivers licence and be confident and experienced in driving a wheelchair accessible van. This position may involve transporting participants to appointments community activities shopping and other scheduled outings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide respectful person-centred support in line with participants individual support plans.
Assist participants with personal care daily living activities and household tasks.
Support participants with community access appointments and social activities.
Safely drive a wheelchair accessible van (Hiace) when transporting participants.
Promote participant independence dignity choice and wellbeing.
Complete shift notes incident reports and other required documentation accurately.
Follow medication behaviour support workplace health and safety and organisational procedures.
Essential Requirements
Female support worker due to the participants personal care and privacy requirements.
Current Australian drivers licence.
Confident and competent in driving a wheelchair accessible van.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Current Working with Children Clearance
Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
Previous disability support or personal care experience.
Strong communication reliability and time-management skills.
Ability to commence immediately and work flexible shifts including weekends where required.
Applicants with relevant qualifications in Individual Support Disability or Community Services will be highly regarded.
