About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker youll make a meaningful difference by supporting participants to engage with their local community and achieve their NDIS goals.
Your duties may include:
- Supporting participants to attend appointments.
- Accompanying participants to cafés shopping centres parks libraries and community events.
- Assisting with grocery shopping and everyday errands.
- Supporting recreational activities hobbies and social outings.
- Encouraging confidence independence and social participation.
- Providing companionship and meaningful community engagement.
- Assisting participants to achieve their individual NDIS goals through person-centred support.
Every participant is unique making each day rewarding and different.
What Youll Need:
- An active ABN (or willingness to obtain one).
- Australian working rights.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety and You.
- A current drivers licence and a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle as community access support involves transporting participants to appointments and activities.
