Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design build and operate scalable secure and well-governed data solutions supporting a critical investment platform. The role focuses on delivering production-grade data pipelines curated data models and data services used across platform applications operational processes and client and regulatory reporting. You will operate with a high level of autonomy and act as a technical authority for data engineering within the platform.Responsibilities:
- Design build and maintain robust data pipelines (ingestion transformation and publishing) supporting operational and analytical use cases
- Develop and manage logical and physical data models aligned to platform domains and business processes
- Deliver high-quality data services and curated datasets for applications reporting and downstream consumers
- Ensure strong engineering practices across data solutions including testing CI/CD monitoring and operational support
- Implement data quality reconciliation lineage and auditability controls to meet regulatory and business requirements
- Own the reliability and performance of production data platforms including incident response and continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership in data architecture design decisions and engineering standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in data engineering within complex enterprise environments with end-to-end ownership of production data solutions
- Strong expertise in building and operating data pipelines ETL/ELT workflows and data integration across systems (databases APIs files events)
- Advanced capability in SQL Server including schema design optimisation and performance tuning for production workloads
- Strong experience in data modelling for both transactional and analytical use cases
- Hands-on experience with C#/.NET for data processing integration services and platform-aligned data solutions
- Experience with cloud-based data engineering platforms particularly Databricks and/or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of data quality reconciliation lineage traceability and auditability in regulated environments
- Experience applying CI/CD automated testing and operational monitoring to data and platform solutions
- Ability to make sound engineering and architectural trade-offs balancing performance scalability reliability and compliance
