• Canberra-based full-time on-site role
• NV1 security clearance required

Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government department to find an experienced Data Cabling Technician.

Our client is a prominent Commonwealth agency whose technology platforms underpin Australias international presence and engagement. As a Data Cabling Technician you will provide support and sustain data management of critical optical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and support network server and associated ICT infrastructure within data centres.
• Undertake fibre optic and copper cabling installation termination and testing including rack preparation activities.
• Support the operation and sustainment of Data Centre Network and optical network environments.
• Apply strong networking knowledge to troubleshoot resolve and optimise infrastructure performance.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation under direction.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver infrastructure solutions.

Key Experience and Skills

• Experience with DWDM-based Data Centre Interconnect (DCI) solutions
• Knowledge of optical network architecture design and data/configuration management practices
• Deploying and managing optical network infrastructure in data centre and enterprise environments.
• Experience in rack installation structured cabling and hardware lifecycle management.

Security Requirements

Applicants must hold an active Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance (or higher) to be considered.
