We are seeking an analytical and solutions-focused Data Analyst to join our Information Technology team. This role is ideal for a data professional who enjoys transforming complex data into actionable insights improving business processes and supporting organisational decision-making through effective reporting and business intelligence solutions.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Technology the Data Analyst is responsible for delivering data analysis reporting and business intelligence services that support operational performance informed decision-making and strategic outcomes.
Working under limited direction you will collect validate analyse and interpret data from multiple sources develop reporting solutions maintain data quality standards and support business applications and integrations. You will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver insights that drive organisational performance enhance service delivery and improve client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather validate and analyse data from multiple sources including databases APIs spreadsheets and internal systems.
- Develop and maintain dashboards reports and visualisations using tools such as Power BI.
- Translate complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations aligned with business objectives.
- Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Support business application owners with data-related operational and project activities.
- Ensure data integrity accuracy consistency and governance standards are maintained.
- Identify investigate and resolve data quality issues.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of data security compliance and governance controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve business processes and system data utilisation.
- Maintain technical documentation standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and third-party providers on data-related projects and initiatives.
- Manage escalations to external vendors and support providers to resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of organisational data management and reporting capabilities.
- Build and maintain positive collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote Intereach values and contribute to a positive team culture.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience using SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas pivot tables and data modelling.
- Experience with Azure data services.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience translating business questions into analytical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting system integrations applications and data management activities.
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across diverse teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational planning and time management skills.
- A commitment to collaboration continuous improvement and delivering positive outcomes.
Desirable
- Experience with Python R or other analytical programming languages.
- Knowledge of Agile ITIL or similar project and service management frameworks.
- Experience working with software vendors and third-party support providers.
- Knowledge of Essential Eight or similar cyber security frameworks.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
