About the Opportunity 

The Cyber Security Improvement Program Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for Griffith Universitys Cyber Security Improvement Program (CSIP) a complex university-wide transformation initiative aimed at strengthening cyber resilience and security capabilities.

Accountable for the end-to-end management of the program the role directs planning reporting financial and resource management governance risk and issue management assurance stakeholder engagement organisational change and benefits realisation across multiple projects and workstreams.

Reporting to the Director Cyber Security the position leads program teams and serves as a key advisor to executive leadership and governance committees ensuring the successful delivery of sustainable and measurable program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of the Cyber Security Improvement Program (CSIP) ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and governance requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting advice and recommendations to executive leaders sponsors and governance committees.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans roadmaps milestones resource requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Manage program delivery to ensure scope budget timelines quality standards and outcomes are achieved.
  • Oversee the CSIP budget including forecasting expenditure monitoring financial reporting and investment prioritisation.
  • Manage supplier contract and procurement activities in partnership with internal stakeholders and in accordance with University requirements.
  • Establish and track program benefits ensuring measurable improvements in cyber security capability resilience maturity and compliance.
  • Lead program-level risk issue dependency and decision management ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required.
  • Coordinate assurance activities audits and reviews and oversee the implementation of resulting actions and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with executive stakeholders business leaders technical teams and delivery partners.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and organisational change initiatives to support the successful adoption of new capabilities and ways of working.
  • Provide leadership coaching and performance management for program staff and assigned resources.
  • Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned best-practice program management and delivery excellence.
  • Monitor emerging cyber security trends risks and industry developments to inform program priorities and investment decisions.

About you

  • The occupant of this position will hold relevant qualifications in program or project management information technology cyber security business administration or a related discipline together with relevant experience delivering cyber security projects or programs;
  • Experience delivering projects using PRINCE2 methodologies

Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.

This is a full time fixed term opportunity for 4 years primarily based at our Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.

Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary

HEW 10 Salary Base - $147057.74 17% superannuation. Full package is $172057.55.
