Counsellor
Job Summary
- Location: Perth
- 1 day per week onsite
As a Counsellor you will play a vital role in supporting individuals facing a broad range of psychosocial challenges including mental health concerns addiction eating disorders grief and loss trauma anger management family and domestic violence and financial hardship.
In this role you will undertake comprehensive psychosocial assessments deliver evidence-based counselling and targeted interventions and coordinate holistic care plans that promote positive outcomes and overall wellbeing. Working collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams you will empower individuals to build resilience overcome barriers and achieve meaningful change in their lives.
Lets talk about you!
- A minimum of three years post-qualification experience providing counselling services across a range of psychosocial and mental health settings.
- Current registration with a professional body (ACA PACFA)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing mental health challenges addiction trauma grief and loss and complex family dynamics.
- A highly developed empathetic and culturally responsive approach with a commitment to providing safe inclusive and person-centred care.
- Well-developed problem-solving and critical thinking abilities enabling effective assessment intervention planning advocacy and coordination of support services.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
